I wanted a Halloween Pearl. One that could strike fear and yet keep the same elegance and poise as any Pearl would be expected to.

Earth Gem Equivalent: Peacock Tahitian Pearl
Shape/Cut: Ripple Drop/Circle drop
Current Chosen Name: Ripple Drop
Height: Stands taller than average pearls
Body: Thicker more athletic body type than average pearls
Gender: None
Gender Pronouns: Like most gems from Homeworld or off planet gender and all the concepts that go with it, has little to no meaning to Ripple Drop.

RBP's Story: Created long ago Ripple Drops first title was Resplendent Black Pearl. Created only a few years prior to the Gem war on earth ,RBP was meant to be crushed from the start , not fitting in with the necessary requirements for a correct pearl.

The difference was that unlike most Inactive Pearls , RBP formed first with out being commanded to do so. Even formed it was clear there would or could be no place for such a Pearl. With a body build ,far too thick in torso and thorax region, despite the arms and legs tapering back down to an average size, anyone could see the obvious flaws in the gem's form shape.

RBP was ordered to crush themself, by a commanding Lapis lazuli for the sake of the Pearl Foundry's reputation. Again unlike most first formed Pearls, RBP refused or more accurately seemed horrified at the command. In fear and confusion RBP fled quickly realizing their unique ability to hide in a "shadow" space, a heightened Pearl ability.

RPB took to hiding about the foundry grabbing as many defective unwanted Pearls as possible. Even now RPB is not entirely sure why they started doing that, RBP just had the need to. Strangely despite this need RPB never awoke them, only holding onto them. That was until RBP overheard the lapis that ran the foundry speak of a demand from the diamonds for retribution for their failure of a Pearl made by their team at a previous foundry.

The diamonds were furious demanding to know how any Pearl would side with a gem that murdered a diamond! Then worst still this Pearl now fights alongside the Quartz warrior that shattered Pink diamond. The Diamonds demanded the Lapis Lazuli responsible be crushed along with any that even aided in its creation to be left under harsh scrutiny. RBP heard it all dumb struck watching the head Lapis lazuli dragged away to be shattered. A Pearl was the cause of this ? A pearl like themself could even fight? Stand against the Diamond Athourity defying their position their purpose , even summon a weapon?

It was then and there RBP was inspired to do more than just wander around and steal from the foundry.RBP could find their own purpose and not just gather other Pearls but protect them from the cruel Diamond Athourity's grasp. That day RBP became a legend in their own right. The second defiant Pearl and the first to actively steal and fight for other Pearls.

Now known as Ripple Drop , Resplendent Black Pearl stands as main protector and leader of the Cove of lost Pearls.
